continuing a general theme of change….

in keeping with the general changes i’ve been making, i decided to get away from livejournal and restart my journal here.  i admit i was inspired when i stumbled across my friend’s journal on wordpress (see bastard.logic on the blogroll).  i’ve decided i want to get away from more personal blogging here and go for a more personal essay approach.

it’s really easy to indulge in personal drivel when doing an online journal–the general stuff that the general public really doesn’t give a damn about, the day to day stuff.  most of my friends generally talk to me in person or on the phone and ask about these things, so i figure it’s kind of pointless to continue that online in public view.  one thing i’ve noticed about working the midnight shift completely alone is the lack of human contact, and that kind of translates into posting personal stuff.  as for posting information about art, video, music, poetry, the creative stuff i do, i’m starting a second journal here called “the high & grand” (yes, i can’t get away from that concept even if my dreams of forming an art collective are dead in the water right now–is anyone still interested in this?)

so that’s all for my initial post on wordpress.  boring, huh?
